Network modernization with a vision

As an innovative Internet service provider and in keeping with the motto «We bring the world to the Bernese Oberland», our long-standing customer Kabelfernsehen Bödeli has opted for our provisioning platform from NMS Prime.

As part of the network modernization, Kabelfernsehen Bödeli evaluated provisioning solutions for DOCSIS and XGS-PON. The specifications and objectives were clear: The provisioning platform had to be based on Open Source and be able to be used for the provision of future technologies and services. In addition, the selected platform had to be connected to the existing BSS platform OPENService from AGIS and network monitoring had to be possible via the same platform.

All criteria met

After a comprehensive evaluation as well as a successful PoC and field test, we were able to convince Kabelfernsehen Bödeli of our provisioning platform NMS Prime. With the NMS Prime service platform, BN offers a platform that allows customers to provide a wide variety of applications and services in an automated manner.

The project team of NMS Prime and BN was also able to convince thanks to high professional competence, an extremely agile project organization and its customer centricity. 

Kabelfernsehen Bödeli has opted for the Provisioning, VoIP, Monitoring, Detect and Ticketing modules. The integration of the various modules and access technologies into one platform contributes to a significant reduction in complexity in the system landscape and leads to lower operational costs in the medium and long term. 

Further modules of NMS Prime as well as 3rd Party modules can be easily and cost-effectively connected via REST/JSON API. 
 

The provisioning platform offered by BN is suitable not only for ISPs but also for energy service providers who want, an automated smart meter connection as part of digitalization.
